Hi,

How does it compare to the original "standard" Outlaw, from an aggressiveness perspective?

Thanks,

Matty

Vlasta This is a much better looking razor than the original Bandit in brass, imo, but why only polished? No love for a brushed finish?

Is that a typo? 0.8mm blade exposure would be a lot!  Do did you mean 0.08mm blade exposure?  Or did you mean blade gap? Or blade reveal?

I know it’s Ti and shipping from HKG but is it made in China?  What is the country of origin on the customs forums?

Do you know the approximate weight of the bravo configuration as well as viper?

And for blade gap and exposure, I believe it’s an error.  Can you confirm for us?

Many thanks from Pennsylvania - I hope all is well!

For what I understand, the gap has increased slightly (+6% from the original) and the blade exposure has decreased a tad.

Love the Viper.
What's the difference between "sweet, sweet titanium" and "machined titanium"?

Hi - sorry it has been so long since you posted - for whatever reason I was not alerted to your question. Here are the answers:-

I know it’s Ti and shipping from HKG but is it made in China?  What is the country of origin on the customs forums? Alpha Shaving is based in Hong Kong and the razors are made here in a machine shop that I took a long time to find and train. The customs forms will state country of origin as Hong Kong.

Do you know the approximate weight of the bravo configuration as well as viper?

Hi - here are the figures - you can work out the combinations yourself!!
  • Razor Stand 56.3g
  • Top Cap 5.5g
  • Baseplate 13.2g
  • Handle Viper 95 46.8g
  • Handle Bravo 85 41.9g

And for blade gap and exposure, I believe it’s an error.  Can you confirm for us?

The blade gap is about 0.70mm NOT inches. I work in metric. The exposure is neutral to very slightly positive depending on what blade you use

Many thanks from Pennsylvania - I hope all is well! Thank you too!!

Sweet = nice. Lovely. Super. Nothing to do with the grade of titanium. The grade used is Grade 5 sometimes known as Ti-6Al-4V

about the same - maybe a teeny bit less agressive. Still very efficient.
