They advertise it as "The best razor on earth period," which I found odd. When it came out I researched them and discovered it's owned by Porter Stansberry. I work in finance and his SEC case is well known in the industry.

It was lauded on shaving forums with Administrator(s) given free One Blade's in return for favorable reviews. The whole thing is tainted and rotten from the razor maker and those early reviewers.

Andrew, I hope you get reimbursed.

"They’ve sold more than 6,000 units in the 14 months it has been on sale. ...

It’s definitely a first-class “experience” from start to finish  ...

And, it’s still a work in progress. Barrett noted that an updated version is in the works and should be available just in time for the holidays. Perhaps the next edition will fix a couple of the flaws I personally experienced and raise the stakes on “the world’s best shave”.

I didn't see him mention what flaws he saw in their razor. I wonder if they sent him one with a blade smiles as well...

I dont think he meant that.

"I’ve seemingly tried every cartridge razor from the supermarket and thought I had narrowed it down to a couple that did a good enough job. ... I watched a couple how-to videos on using the OneBlade razor. ... I .... used my standard shave gel ...  I used my go-to sunscreen/moisturizer ... OneBlade recommends changing the blade after each use, but these are expensive and can only be ordered through the company, so stretching usage seems like common sense ..."

No, stretching usage is not a good idea. Sounds like he is a cartridge user not using a shaving soap/cream nor a splash or balm. Didn't really understand how to use it. Two tries and done. And we know there are several sources for blades in the US nm in the rest of the world so he didn't research it closer. I'm not convinced he saw a smiling blade.

I didn't bring it up because of who he was. I brought it up because it was a week ago and because he talked to the CEO and the two facts:

1. 6,000 units sold

2. V2.0 coming for the holidays

Here are some serious reviews, with a couple from well known and I presume respected authors, and not just Joe Smoe in a forum

… Is OneBlade the perfect razor?... the OneBlade gives me the closest, cleanest, most consistent shaves I have ever had … is the OneBlade the perfect razor?  Well, no.  The price will be a barrier to many, blade availability and choice is a concern, and there will always be some who just won’t be able to get a superior shave with it (like every other individual razor). … But it sure comes close for me”

… Nothing I have ever put to my face has sliced the hair as quickly, cleanly, or efficiently as the OneBlade.  It was extremely thrilling, and I have to say it was by far the closest shave I've ever gotten.  …

Would I recommend the OneBlade? If you have $300 … and are looking for the closest shave you can get at home, there's nothing else on the market quite like the OneBlade.

This Oneblade safety razor is the finest single edge safety razor I have ever used. … It will rival any of your go to safety razors.  … The fundamental goal of the OneBlade Razor is to manufacture the worlds finest razor from the highest quality components to the highest standards all of this secured with a lifetime warranty.  … As a razor manufacturer myself I can and do appreciate the effort the OneBlade team has put forward.

I know you are bitter but do you have to imply something into everything? I said it:

1. 6,000 units sold

2. V2.0 coming for the holidays

I can understand why RSP1 is bitter though. they sold him a defective razor that they knew was defective...even telling another individual that the blade smile was part of the design (which it's not).

it's like buying a Porsche...you expect top notch quality and service. lately though, they're really selling you a fiat with downright horrible customer service for a really high price....or maybe that's just how I feel...

Sorry but I don't feel this is news worthy. I'm not bitter - I got my money back. I would like for everyone to be informed though. When we're into serial number 7xxx it's obvious over 6000 have been sold. I still don't understand what you're trying to push.
