After reading all the reviews about the oneblade and how mild it was, I was skeptical I would like it because I always used aggressive DE's... ATTH2, 2011 R41,Shavecraft Tech,etc...---After 3 shaves with the oneblade, all those razors went to the BST. I have to agree with the oneblade marketing slogan and that shocked me but the slogan is true.

Barry, now, I am even more intrigued to try this razor. Shy

I shaved with it this morning.  I am going to refrain from giving my impressions on its performance until I have a few more shaves.  With one exception:  I have shaved with a bunch of DE's, including the famed R41, and even tried a straight for a while - the OneBlade did the best job on my jawline of any razor I have used.   The jawline is a problem area on my face that has never been addressed to my complete satisfaction by any razor.  The OneBlade impressed me.  SharpSpinead written that it was outstanding on the jawline; I was dubious.  Jawline performance:  excellent.

Yeah, even though I went back to my Wolfman OC this morning and remembered how much I love that razor (and how well it does for me), it's true that the OneBlade still out-performs anything else I have when it comes to traversing my jawline, chin, and neck without any issues. I can get there with other razors, but it takes extra care, and it all comes together only occasionally. With the OneBlade it's easy-peasy.

David : DE shaving since Nov 2014. Nowadays giving in to the single-edge siren call.

I would so love to try this razor but the price is simply too off-putting to me. Sad

My apologies if this was already discussed but going through the entire thread was just too much reading so I ready about 5 pages and didn't find anything specific about this:
has any of you tried modifying a GEM to fit in the OneBlade without smiles? I did it with a couple of GEM carbons I had sitting around and am loving it. The modification was done with a drill and a tedious process that is absolutely impractical but its a starting point (for me at least).
Has anyone has tried something similar?

It is a lot but I justified it by saying look at the price of high end brushes---that made me feel better Big Grin Tongue

The only problem is that I don't do high end brushes, either. Sad
