Your blade choice for Yates 921 and WSC Merica

Hey guys,

I already use and love my WSC Merica and the Yates 921 with M and H plate is on its way due to my happiness with the Merica. Love it. Outshaves a lot of my more expensive razors!

I used the Merica with:

1) Feather: Just ok in retrospect. It felt way rougher and even gave me some red skin for an hour or so. I normally like the feather but not in the Merica, shaved clean but due to roughness not as clean as it could be if I would be more relaxed using it. 

2) Tatra (the recommended by WSC): Very good results, nice balance of smooth shave and decent sharpness. 

3) Gilette 7 o‘clock yellow: My favorite up to now. Sharp, clean, easy, no red Skin, seems to fit the bill. 

What are your favorites using Yates razors?

Nacet, but I love them in any razor.

I find Gillette Nacet’s work the best in most of my razors including the 921-M/H.

You will like the Yates. The 921-H is my favorite razor. Superb performer. I find Wizamet, 7 O'clock Super Platinum, Bolzano, Astra SP/SS, and Lord Platinum to work great. The Yates razor works with lots of blades so pick your favorite and give it a try.
