Amen and well said Frank!

These threads can be great to share 'ideas' with others. Such as John Rose suggestion of Fendrihan shave cream. I got the samples and now have a full tub of they're (not so) Bay Rum enroute.

I will make a shout out to Ogalalla Bay Rum Vanilla. A cheap soap, with not so great performance. Like Franks choice, the scent is out of this world (for me). Love it so much, and used it for a while even though it hated my face. We parted ways some time back. I still write it endearing letters, it still files restraining orders.  Big Grin

Well, I was bamboozled. They must have had the wrong caps on the samples. I now have a tub of Bergamot enroute... Hope that the right one or I give up. Lol.

For me:
1. Ethos Peppermint
2. Ethos Greenfresh
3. Ethos Melange Dargumes
4. Ethos Lavender

Still waiting for the delivery of Ethos Colonia and Success. Im planning to have a custom soap and splash with Ethos. Its gonna be a straight up orange scent. Also, Ethos has one of the best customer service.

Do you find they all perform exactly the same?

Hi frenchy. Yes I find they all perform exactly the same. The products from Ethos Grooming are consistent in their performance. Easy to lather, supreme face feel during shave and post shave and it doesnt leave my skin oily. They all smell great too. Ethos products are worth every penny spent on them. Reach out to Dragonsbeard if you need anything. Frank is responsive and never fails to answer my questions. Actually, you can even ask him anything wet shaving related.

The only soap which I went through three tubs (not easy feat when I have over 100+ soaps).

As the year is coming to an end, I just did my annual stock keeping and 18 soaps are due to arrive at my den by end of year. I may have a different answer next year!

I wholeheartedly concur with Frank’s Dragonsbeard  post above. While it’s good to have some free flowing discussion, threads are most useful to everyone when members stay on topic. This one is asking members what their #1 soap is which is useful and interesting because not everyone has the same #1. For me it’s like a Sophie’s choice among a handful. So if you’d like to discuss things you hate, you’re more than welcome to start a thread for that and as long as it complies with the DFS rules it’s fair game.

I find that I rarely get tired of talking about things I love and enjoy but the continual festivus “airing of the grievances” gets boring very fast.  As moderators we try to keep things running smoothly and for the most part DFS has an excellent membership base but I think we’ll try to make a greater effort to ensure that threads stay on topic. It just keeps things civil and it also ensures greater utility as a reference for information. Thanks
