Yesterday, I had my first shave with the Yates 921 Ti H OC base plate. I was using my Ti top cap and started with the Yates Ti stubby handle.

I definitely agree with Jake's video that the OC plate is the most aggressive plate out of the plate options. I had a three-day beard and after just a few strokes, I quickly changed to my Timeless Razors Ti Crown TRH8 handle (using three nylon washers to fill the plate channel) to reduce any pressure from the weight of the handle.

The Ti OC plate felt more aggressive than my SS H scalloped plate. I think the H OC plate approached EH territory (or at least reminded me of my SS EH solid bar plate). I don't think I would want to try an EH OC plate.

All in all, an extremely close shave that the smoothness lasted at least 12 hours.

The Ti OC plate made short work of three-day's growth. I will be curious to see how it handles 4+ day's growth.

Did the Crown actually fit the threads?  I thought they used different 10/32# threads on Yates where Timeless uses the more common m5 threads?  Also wouldn't using 3 washers over the trench area of the Yates baseplate not leave enough threads to actually thread into the Crown handle?  I'll have to try it when I get home later if I remember this.

The Timeless Razors Ti Crown TRH8 handle threads fit my Yates 921 SS and 921 Ti top caps. It also works well with my Ti Vector (for which I originally bought the handle on a recommendation of another person).

I have very thin washers to fill the trench in the base plate. There is still plenty of grip even filling the trench with three washers. Even when I use a Yates handle, I always use one washer to keep from marking up the base plate.

Do you know what size washers fit that area?  All my washers are way too large.

I don't use a washer on my Yates 921, but I know a guy who does. He said that M5 x 8mm x 1mm fits.

The ones I ordered (and are no longer available on Amazon) were labeled "Qjaiune 20 Pack M5 Nylon Washers Black Flat Washer, 5mm ID 8mm OD 1mm Thickness Faucet Plastic Gasket, Metric Nylon Gasket Sealing Washer Spacer Flat Hose Washer for Water Pipe Water Hose".

This is a different but similar looking washer: "100 PCS Nylon Washers, M5 x 8mm x 1mm Nylon Flat Washers Insulating Washers for Faucet Pipe Water Hose " https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B2WPDV6S?ref...BDJ8Q&th=1
I have not tried those but that was what someone else pointed me to when the ones I ordered were no longer available.

Hi all
I have been using my Yates 921 Ti with H / SC and EH / SB for almost 3 months now. I must say that this is one extremely good razor. I have converted and only using the EH plate for now. I find it very efficient and with some blade feel. But not aggressive at all. This razor has grown on my and I can say it is my new favorite razor.

Thanks Jacob

I never shaved or owned Yaets razor but I’m sure they make fantastic shavers as I seen how they did with Paradigm Ti..

My Yates 921 Ti H solid bar base plate arrived yesterday.
I look forward to trying it out tomorrow if all goes well.

I am curious to see how it compares with my SS H scalloped base plate.
