The Yates H plate is closest to the Blackbird. You might find the Yates EH a bit too much for you if you shave daily; not sure though as YMMV.
You could get the EH plate along with the H plate to determine for yourself, but I still think you'd be fine with the latter.
It's a great shaver.
Thanks celestino! I usually shave every two days.
If it's not a dangerous shave, maybe the EH could work. Or both!

I shave my head and face every 2-3 days, and the EH plate works great for me. I also like the Blackbird.

If that's the case, then go with the EH plate.  Smile

Appreciate that!!
So, looks like a relatively large gap but just a slightly positive exposure?
How's the blade clamping?

Nevermind, you already posted this...
.050" gap = 1.27mm
So yes.
Thanks again!

That all said... Back to the blade clamping question.
The bottom plate is pretty far from the edge of the blade.
Any chatter?

I haven't had any issues with blade chatter. Maybe the level of curvature of the blade contributes to how rigid it feels. When you screw everything together, you can hear a pretty audible crunch as the top cap and baseplate clamp the blade. I can very confidently shave against the grain on my upper lip and neck without irritation, and those are the areas where I'll typically have issues if there's blade chatter.

No blade chatter; actually, quieter than your BB's.
