Now this is quite accurate.  Something in the business model made it challenging for YPM and obviously they didn’t overprice their products.  Maybe they undervalued their service to wet shavers?

Personally I think it is really difficult to have a BYOR and not charge double to triple what they did.
What about Razorock?

Not sure I see what you mean on the Yates thread.  Never saw Italian Barber or RR let you choose your finish, handle length, metals, laser engraving, etc.

You can choose a base plate and handle from RR.

I see what you're saying. That level of customization/complication likely appeals mostly to the most ardent of wet shavers that are already a small portion of a specialty market.

It appears the Yates website is gone. I just typed in Yates razor and Yates precision manufacturing into my Google search and it no longer comes up. I was just thinking how even if he wasn't gonna take orders he could've still left up the information for pricing and specs of the razors because I wanted to check on the specs for the 921-M. Now it appears that site is gone altogether.

Here's a screenshot I took from the website a while back:

If nothing else, maybe just keep it up to give some sense of comfort to customers who have paid for razors and are still waiting… yeesh

Looks like they are speaking at the Razor Emporium meet up and that Razor Emporium will be making their razors in the future.

You're welcome! I also had screenshots of the specs for the Winning and Merica razors, so I put them all together in this image:
