That does it. No used soaps for me.....ever

I can understand buying used soaps that are no longer made, especially if you’ve used them before and they are some of your favourite soaps. Having said that, I would never buy used soap that is currently in production. This is not an expensive hobby, especially compared to other hobbies like watch collecting or camera collecting.

I have yet to buy a used soap, but I would as long as the pictures they post don't show dried lather on the puck.
That just grosses me out!
If I see that the puck is clean, that tells me that the person is likely a little OCD like me, and is probably pretty clean overall.
I know it's a major generalization, but I can't help it.

Boy and we haven't even talked about used brushes yet - lol. Anyone with used Rooney Finest who are worried can send them to me.....

Why not grab a small UV unit like the ones barbers use and put the soap etc under those for a while? There's a reason those are made. I like to clean my favorite brushes once a year, and usually sit them out in the sun and breeze until they dry. Can't do that right now though, the daytime relative humidity here in the southeast US has been approaching 90% so it would take a while for them to dry.

Cheers, Steve

I use one of the brush cleaning soaps. There are a couple of German brands, Uomo I believe and Zartgefu. L&L Grooming (Declaration Grooming now) also made a brush cleaning soap. I've used the Zartgefu and L&L. If you like, you can follow these with a light vinegar rinse. Then sunshine and fresh air for a day.

Well I have about six or seven soaps I'm ready to get rid of. If you are near Vancouver, WA I will give them to you for free. Smile
