Would you use soap that someone else has used?

Do you only date virgins or bring your own plates & cutlery to a restaurant?

I'm with CCity all the way on this one. Used soaps don't bother me one bit. If it really bugged me, I would just scrape a thin layer off the top and call it good. Whaddya got? Lol

What's the harm in listing them? Many (myself included) are willing to buy used soaps.

I'm only asking because I need to clear out some soaps that are just sitting and collecting dust. I'm not looking to make a profit by any means. Some of them are really good soaps, but I just never use them.

Sell em’ out with the old and in with the new! You’d be surprised how many guys you would be helping by doing so!

I get it, but some don't. I was just curious how people here felt about it.

My preference is new, but if it's a vintage soap, I will consider it. I "wash" off the top layer and that's that.

It's not for me. I know all the examples that people use like silverware etc. but that doesn't change my mind. Seems people buy them all the time so if you got them to sell and someone wants them then go for it.

I personally wouldn't, but I have health issues that encourage germophobia. Maybe not entirely rational, but there it is.

On the one hand, I have heard of studies showing that it's possible to catch bacterial infections from contaminated soap, but as BPman implied it's probably safer than eating at many restaurants. Particularly if the soap hasn't been used for a long time.

I would not hesitate to buy or use pre-owned soaps, just be sure that the surface is free of any 'personal items'.
