Wow Frank you've been a busy fellow. I'm guessing and hoping the surgery was a success.
Sounds like the business is moving along nicely from all aspects.
When I read the part about making the sanitizer and put a smile on my face, way to go buddy. I just really like seeing people come together in times of need, you stepped up sir, thank you for that.
Thank you for the update bud, Keith

No worries my friend these are hectic times for many, I think we all understand the hobby needs to take a backseat sometimes as real life calls on us.

Hey Frank because of your generosity our front line health care workers have a little extra protection - and I am sure an angel just got his/her wings because of your effort.

Slow down buddy and a weekly shave-off is more than sufficient for use to take apart, analyze and discuss in the forums.

Thank you my friend for the kind words and I’m almost there on the slow down.

UPDATE:

Hello all

It's been a while since I updated this thread or done any Shave Offs and I won't go into a long drawn out story but as many of you are trying to deal with things not being normal I'm in the same boat. I have however not been able to stay at home but I'm working pretty much 7 days a week so I really don't have the extra time to do 2 hr long Shave Offs at this time is the main reason based on how much I'm working lately. As some may know I have a hair product line I've been manufacturing and selling for over 20 years now and my main customers are professional Salons and Spas with a decent amount of retail sales that are sold direct to customers on my website. Well with the closing of all the salons and spas in NY my business has been hit very hard as far as selling to professionals goes which makes up at least 85% of my business.  With that said more and more people are ordering off the website because they can't get their products at the salons & spas they normally get them from so with no help ( everyone is staying home that works for me ) I'm a one man show trying to fill orders and get them shipped out so things are a little crazy regarding that business. I also develop personal care products for a large CBD company and because their business was also hit hard with the closing of all the CBD stores they turned their manufacturing attention to making hand sanitizer so I've had to develop 3 different formulas for them and then make sure when they scaled up productin that things were being done properly and running smoothly.  So far we've put out over 600,000 bottles to frontline workers and to people in our community. On top of that as some of you may also know I recently launched my new ETHOS Grooming Essentials line of Wet shaving products and I got a lot more orders than I expected which is a good thing but I wasn't prepared for such a response. So trying to do all three things without any real help has been very overwhelming to say the least. So I've come to the conclusion that I can't do Shave Offs and report on them up to my standards. My shaves are usually done in a hurry and I'm only shaving maybe 3 times a week and sometimes only twice. I've been lucky enough to be in a couple of pass arounds and I've written up very quick reviews but again not very often and up to my standards. I do miss the interactions with members and I very much enjoy the Shave Offs when I have the time so that's why I'm going to put them on hold until things get back to normal and I can bring some workers back to help me in my businesses.

I have some folks razors that they were kind enough to lend me for the Shave Offs and I don't want to keep them from you enjoying them so if you've sent me a razor and you want it back I'll be glad to ship it back to you. All I ask is to message me at my work email address which is Alcamehair@gmail.com and make sure you mention what you sent me and most importantly your shipping information. For those and I know of a couple that don't need or want them back right now I have them in a safe clean place waiting until I resume the Shave Offs.

My plan is as soon as this pandemic is over and they start to reopen business especially ones that relate to my businesses I'll be able to resume the Shave Offs even though I may start slow with doing one on the weekends.

I didn't want anyone to think I just abandoned you all and I've consulted with some of the members on here that know me well and they said Frank just take a break until things get back to normal and just inform everyone on the site. So I've taken their advice.

So guys I'll see you on the other side and hopefully sooner than later.

Thank you for all the support and patience!

Frank
