The titanium was from a friend that did not want his order.

Ah, I see. I was expecting the open comb! Enjoy them both... and let us know which you prefer?

Went back to the .80 titanium today and changed the handle over to my titanium Darwin and this comparison is going to be a tough one between the 2 WR-3’s! Love, love, love the shave I got today with a fresh Gem blade! Super efficient and oh so smooth! I will use the .74 OC next and then let you guys know which one I like more! Right now the edge is going to the titanium .80. They both have different feels between the titanium and the antique bronze. Both are just stunning and after I get one more shave in with the titanium, I am sending it with both handles to a friend to anodize it in purple.

George, I was with you all the way until you said “anodized in purple”. Are you sure? It looks so good right there in titanium with that weathered-looking Darwin handle.

I have a WR-2 in brushed titanium and will keep that one as is but this is going in for the anodizing treatment soon.

Perhaps one day we will become technologically advanced enough to manufacture a spring loaded hinge? You know, like they used to a hundred years ago.

Vintage for me please.

Boar brushes, brass razors, and hard pucks ARE traditional wet shaving. Everything else is modern day fluff for the girly men.

It's like the blues, the best stuff comes from dead guys.

A couple quick questions as my name will be coming up and I’m very strongly considering trying a WR3 in Ti

1. What is the other handle number that’s not listed on the website? I want to say HR 4 but not 100% sure.
2. I’ve got plenty of what I’d call very to hyper aggressive/efficient razors. I’m looking for something that’s as smooth and efficient as a Paradigm 2020 or a Raw Shaving RS 10 with the Aggressive plate. In other words not a lot of blade feel but nicely efficient.

Used to have a very large SE collector of razors. Mostly vintage but at least a dozen moderns as well like the Saber, Colonial, Cobra Classic etc.. in fact that’s a good comparison.. the Cobra Classic was a very nice smooth efficient razor and one of the razors I still have regrets about selling. How would the WR3 compare to the Cobra ?

Reason I’m asking so many questions is I was going to get a WR1 Ti .94 DC as I had one in SS and sold it and honestly miss that one.

Any input is much appreciated.

Great shaves!

1. WRH4 is the handle - george1906 has one in AB. Sometimes called the pineapple handle.
2. I can't make the comparisons as I haven't tried those razors but I'm guessing a high gap +.60 SB is what you are looking for. The .60 SB is not aggressive IMO. The .74 OC is way more efficient with blade feel to match.
3. Sorry not tried the Cobra.

Ask george1906 about his titanium WR3

Personally I'd go for copper or bronze over titanium

Have tried SS 0.40 SB, 0.60 SB and 0.74 OC in pass arounds

Hi Jonathan

Thank you for the info and hopefully maybe a few others will chime in with their thoughts. I’d like copper or bronze but I honestly don’t have the time for the maintenance and I like to keep the original finishes on my razors. I also like the feel of a Ti Razor over a SS in most cases if I’m comparing the same razor.

Kind regards!

Yes, if you don’t like the patina or polishing skip copper and bronze!

I’ve yet to find a dramatic difference between SS and titanium other than weight but haven’t tried a lot of titanium razors including Wolfman.
