1.35 is a lovely gap but coming from a 1.25 you may not fully notice it's awesomeness.
I usually recommend skipping a gap with all his razors to really
appreciate the differences.

I would say go 1.55 SB...great razor.....and none of his stuff is ever rough.

Thanks for the feedback.. and yes, I've heard the WR2 OC isn't nearly as "loved" as the SB.

Is there a razor out there that you would compare the 1.55 SB to, in regards to aggressiveness?

you can dial up a rocnel sailor 2021 or Taiga to those levels and get a great shave too... but among the single
gap razors, I can't think of any other brands that would compare to the 1.55

Maybe others who have tried more razors can help

Comparison they came to my mind was possibly a charcoal Goods level 3 SB roughly.

I currently own:
WR1 SB (.80)
WR2 SB (1.25)

For the next Wolf, I'm leaning towards a Stainless WR2 OC with larger gap...

Does anyone have experience with a 1.35, 1.45 or 1.55 OC? I like aggressive razors, but also don't want a rough $400 cheese grater if you know I mean.

Opinions welcome... thanks in advance
The 1.55 is a desert island razor. I'm extremely grateful LOOT recommended it to me.

Early on I played with the 115 and 125 DC heads. I could not tell any difference in efficiency but found the SB more comfortable. So I went forward with SB only. I do know guys that love the OCs in large gaps tho, just not my thing. I have kept 1.25 to 1.65SBs and quite enjoy them.

On my face, efficiency wise, a CG L3 SB, a WR1 94OC, and a 135SB are all pretty much the same. I would likely throw the R41Ti in that pile too. They only thing I have that would match the efficiency of a 155/165 is a Sailor.

The 155Ti is a great ride. I could daily shave with it, but I'd have to limit to 1 pass. There is little regrowth at 24hrs. Despite the gap, it is almost mindless.

saving you money....I guarantee if you get a 1.45 you will spend a lot of time wondering what
1.55 will be like....thats another 500 bucks or so to find out.

Why not the 165 then? Or try to order a 175?

Your point is well taken, that mindset is exactly I ran the gaps up with mine. Always wonderin...

Haha yeahhh....after trying 1.55 I realised I'd reached my upper limit....it works on my stubborn,
nasty, convict growth.

Now even if he makes a 2mm gap I won't bite.

Of course, this is why I have WR1 0.74, 0.86, 0.94, WR2 1.15, 1.25, 1.55 ... and a 1.35 pending. When someone went 1.65 I decided that I was so happy with the 1.55 I didn't need to gild the lily as it were. Truth be told, if all I had was one of any of the aforementioned gaps I'd get along just fine for the rest of my days.  Smile When my grandfather died @ 78, in 1959, he left behind one Gillette ball end tech. Probably had it since the 1930s. He'd think I'm stone crazy if he saw my razor accumulation  .... and he'd be right !
