80OC is about perfect for me. 8-10hr bbs leaves enough regrowth for tomorrow.

Thanks. What about in SB? I prefer SB’s over OC’s.

Amy thoughts on OC vs SB for the WR2? I have an OC WR1 and love it, but I don't see many photos of OC WR2s.

Both Jeks and the Hydemeister love the WR1 0.94!

It redeemed the WR1 range in their eyes.

We couldn't be happier.
You'ns gone back an tried the 86OC then?

We used to own a DC...80 OC/86 SB...nice, but no cigar!

Sold it a while ago...now 94 SB rules...we are getting a nice use out of it every alternate day.

Could even do daily, but no one to impress as we are both working from home.

I certainly believe so...although these things vary a lot from individual to individual.
For my growth profile....prolific, tough, fast, coarse beard growth with normal skin, it works.
Someone with sensitive skin may not like it so much.

I've come to the end of my journey with hyper-efficient razors for now....0.94 WR1. 1.35 WR2 and 1.55 WR2.
These totally tame my beard.

I've been harbouring a theory for a while now – that these hyper efficient razors with substantial blade exposure,
while devastatingly efficient, can exact a toll on skin when used frequently. My skin's become a little leathery
after switching to them, and the beard seems to re-grow faster than before . Anyways, I'm now looking into scoring
a nice razor that puts comfort and gentleness in the front seat....although I don't know if I'll like it.

Looking at a couple of adjustable options (so if I can crank them up if I don't like mild)...Taiga, Tatara, even the
humongous Sailor...all on the table....let's see how it all shakes out.

Hello,

I have been using WR2 0.95 for a while and thinking to try WR1.

Can someone please compare WR2 0.95 blade gap equivalent to WR1? 0.48 or 0.54?

Thanks!

Nice. I didn't think A's could actually run AutoCad. Ha!. Kidding, sorta. The A's I hang out with can't...or have a rudimentary understanding of proper use. I am a designer, not licensed, but I do a lot of commercial CDs, all trades. In front of a PC driving CAD most days, as I have been for 30+ years. It has had it's perks in this hobby, no doubt.

It’s awesome working with people with your kind of experience who’ve kept up with the technology. I hope to do the same in 30 years when we’re drafting with holograms .....

In general, I prefer SB as well. I owned all of the upper gaps in SB and OC. I wound up with 80 and 86s in OC and 94SB. Only reason I kept the 94SB is because it is in Ti. Although, I probably like the SS94OC better than my 94SB....at least just as good anyway. I nice a slight increase in efficiency with the OC, not a lot, but it's there. The SB does have a little better face feel tho, imo.

I'd say the 0.95 is closest to the 0.54, I've tried both. I prefer the WR1 for the smaller profile. The 0.48 is the mildest and smoothest option, the 0.54 does have positive blade exposure (same as 0.61 and 0.67). Blade feel isn't hugely different for me on both 0.95 and 0.54 but the angle is.

.86 DC is my favorite WR1. Sold my .74 after I got this and the .94DC. I think the .86 is my favorite WR1. I find myself using the .86 more than the .94.

Thank you, Fedsbackhand and George! Very helpful! I just responded to James for 0.48 blade gap bcz I prefer mild razors.
