This WRH6 (?) looks very similar to the BBS-1 size-wise.

Grip looks way better on the BBS-1 handle compared to the new WRH4 but not copper or bronze obviously.

Thanks for your comments.

  • For me its My favorite handle, great ergonomics, grip and looks, the full package. Wish he offered it earlier. . I got the 90 something handle in Titanium polished offering. WRH4 grip is highly underrated and the way he machined it left more grip than I imagined. Pinky falls in perfect spot and my balance is close to perfection.  Way better grip than lets say the Darwin, which is a looker no doubt but way to skinny at the main grip point. Good luck Matt, may behave differently in different metal and finish imo. Highly recommended

Thanks Marius.

I received the proceed or cancel email at the weekend so need to decide soon. Although the Darwin should be a good fit for the WR3 it wasn't my favourite handle combo during the pass around.

That's interesting...the Darwin is my favorite handle of them all. I guess that's why you like the 4 and why it's my least favorite.

Unfortunately James won't make a scalloped cap for the WR3

The Darwin is one of my favorite WR handles, and though I don't have a 4, I do have the others, including the BBS1.

To me the flats of the Darwin make it a very non slip, controllable handle. With my WR1 bronze 0.80 SB, and WR1 SS 0.74 DC, those may have become my favorite combinations of all. (subject to change)  Rolleyes

If the Darwin was offered at 95mm-101mm I would be interested in it along with its corresponding #2 stand

Gorgeous handle, on the small side for my clumsy hands

Feds:
Apologies for the LATE reply.  We haven’t been on a proper holiday since 2019 so I’ve been pretty busy the last 2 weeks, lol

My #4 was ordered in October/November 2021 in copper.  What I love best about the handle is it’s size, weight and grip on my knurl. I have read threads about the knurl on this particular handle which differ greatly from mine. Mine is very grippy.  I’m a knurl fanatic. The tips on my knurl are NOT “smooth” nor are they sharp per se’. They are identical to my #1 handle

I can only speak for my handle in copper.  When I place orders I’m VERY specific what I want and sometimes it takes 3 weeks before I finalise.  I’ve spoken to some of the other Gents.  Their handle knurl seems by description less grippy than mine

Isn't it great to have such a varied selection of handles these days? We're all so different. I tried a Darwin and didn't get along with it at all, yet it is beloved by many. If the pineapple handle is larger than a WRH1/WRH2 in both diameter and length, I suspect it would be too heavy for my liking (in copper or bronze as Fedsbackhand has asked about). The WRH1 is already a little heavy, but its absolutely perfect grip makes up for it.

Thanks Rob. Identical knurling to a WRH1 is just what I’m looking for. Your review is perfect given your so called clumsy hands. I wonder if the difference in knurl smoothness-sharpness is down to the level of polish? Yours is regular polish and others on this thread are mirror bronze.

Someone else with a copper handle remarked on the excellent grip.

Knurl on that BBS-1 looks fantastic. I’m going to have to try this razor one day I expect.

Cheers
