So one thing I've noticed is that the handle can make a razor feel more or less aggressive than it would be while using another handle. Case in point...the only head I have duplicates of is the WR1 .67 SB (my favorite). I have it in bronze with a Darwin handle and in Ti with a 3/7 handle. I am a big fan of the Darwin and my first Wolfman razor had a Darwin handle, so I am very used to it. They're the same head, but the Ti version always felt a little more aggressive with a bit more blade feel. I couldn't figure out why. Then I switched handles with the Ti version...used a Ti WRH7 and that seemed to tone it down a bit for me. It seems weird, but I think that little bit of extra length was making me use a slightly different angle than I was used to (with the Darwin). But with a WR2, the WRH3 and 3/7 gives me no problem at all.

For a little while, I've been thinking that many of us (myself included) might do things without knowing and then base our opinions on them. I think I inadvertently use the longer handle differently than the shorter handle. Maybe it happens in reverse too. Or maybe I'm full of shit? I dunno...

Sounds like a nice razor and looks good too.
How's the higher Gap OC working so far, and do you have more OC in the high gaps?
I had a 1.25 OC titanium and really it wasn't too bad just not efficient enough, so I'm curious.

I have OC gaps 1.25, this 1.35 and a 1.45. They all seem smooth to me but I think I like the 1.35 OC the most.

Congrats G. Love the looks of that one. The handle was an excellent choice. That the standard size?

Thanks my man! Went with the longest which is 96mm I think. I also ordered a WRH4 XL in this same finish after the fact. Should ship within the week.

Update on my shaving struggles with my bronze 0.80 WR1 SB.

The past two shaves, both with the same Polisilver blade, have been good/very good.

I don't know why I have to get used to some new razors/gaps and not others .... but all's well that ends well.

I used a Titanium WR1 .86SB this morning for the first time. Amazing razor. The absolute closest shave I have ever accomplished with a double edge razor. Compares (for me) to a barbershop straight razor shave. I own several Stainless Steel Wolfmans and they are all enjoyable, but the Titanium raises the bar. I'm done acquiring new razors, at least until next week...........

I’m still in awe of this titanium .80 WR-3. Amazing shave today with this set up! I have decided that titanium is the optimum metal for this particular razor because of the size of the head. Also, this .80 is super efficient!

Lathered with MDC and used a Feather on its 2nd time around. More blade feel than my 0.74 SS but that was expected. I'm going to shave with this one awhile before I decide it is THE one.

So the prices being what they are I went with Basic Polish. I sent an email to Tara this morning 'Mistake With My Order' ....

"James must have made a mistake ... this bronze WR1/Darwin/WRA2 stand couldn't possibly be BASIC polished !

It is impeccable and shines like the sun !!! I couldn't imagine a polish job that would be superior !!"

My poor photos don't do it justice. I'll be doing the 'antiquing' on it soon.

Would be very interested to see when it is “antiqued”! A beautiful razor in any finish though!
