No answer to this on B&B. Let's see if anyone has some inside "skinny" here.

The Wolfman Razor website has this re: availability:

"JULY 1 2015 - NO LONGER TAKING ORDERS
In order to focus on production, orders won't be accepted for several months."

No further word and "several months" have passed. Has anyone inquired and gotten any current information? Can't wait to give him my money!   Rolleyes

Hi Beamon, I have been on the current list since June 14th and James' last update to me was that I should be getting my Wolfman in October. He is still working through the last iteration but I have found that he is very responsive, but also buried trying to wrap the latest custom orders.

Good luck!

I think he has stopped taking new orders until he has caught up in his waiting list.

I placed my order on May 20, 2015 and received it last week.

I read that its a one man operation over there, but the final product is worth the wait.

There is no indication from the wolf man when he will be taking new requests ("orders" is a bit strong given that he won't take deposits and makes no promises) I was able to get a request in last May under the wire before the cutoff (which came without prior notice). Wolfman is a machinist living outside of Edmonton Alberta and he has been blessed/cursed with popularity and success of his product which he started as a sideline hobby to his day job which I would assume is making machine parts for the oil patch. I assume when his day job is busy the razors get set aside as the oil patch pays better and everybody has to earn a living. I think it just takes patience and persistence and hopefully, one day you might see one of these prized pieces.

That's what I'm doing, also, Shawn. I imagine when he opens up for "orders" again he'll be swamped and have to cut them off almost immediately. I'd guess, however, that the "order" volume is not sustainable as soon all those willing and able to afford his product have been satisfied. But, how long that will take is the big unknown.

Possibly, we obviously won't be the only 2 sitting refreshing the page every ten minutes(please tell me I'm not the only one? O_o), so, I need lady luck to shine down on that day! lol

James is an awesome guy, I spent a few hours on the phone with him in about 8-9 months ago. He's a one-man show and spends a huge amount of time hand finishing his razors. He mentioned that he wanted to take some time to work on new design ideas he has (slant, adjustable, etc). I know a lot of guy put their name on his list before the price increase in June/July so I'm sure he has a ton of razors to make. Machined razors take a lot of time to make and James doesn't rush it.

I agree, James was very cool in the the emails I had with him.

Replies quickly and takes the time to answer your questions to the fullest.

I'm very happy that he and his razors are having such success. Especially since he is an Alberta dude as well.
