That was fantastic. It kept my interest the entire time and it was eye opening.

A great article - one thing to keep in mind is that the Rockwell founder was just 21 years old at the time and he had $150K burning a hole in his pocket. I am fairly certain that he isn't as trusting and naive as he was at the outset of his adventure. I think this identifies an obvious flaw in the whole kickstart/crowdfunding approach to business - there is nobody to rigorously review the business plan as you would have if you were seeking conventional funding. Further, the founder only stood to lose all of his investors' money and (I'm assuming here) none of his own. There's nothing that sharpens the mind like the threat of losing your family's home and all of your worldly possessions if you fail.

It is definitively an expensive learning experience. Been in business is not easy and starting one even more difficult, and that's just the beginning.

I think that was a very interesting article on its own but would caution drawing parallels between Rockwell and Wolfman production challenges.

A question for those who may know the answer, once you're on the Wolfman waiting list and "your number has been called" (so-to-speak), how many razors are you actually able to purchase? My assumption would be one complete razor (cap, plate & handle) with an accessory or two (case, stand, second handle, etc.).

Are people purchasing 2, 3, or 4 razors based on a single slot on the waiting list? If so, that seems a bit unfair to everyone behind them in line on the waiting list, many of whom are likely only going to be buying just one razor. It seems like if you want to buy a second or a third, you should have to get to the back of the waiting list line once again.

My $0.02 (from someone who asked to be added to the waiting list back in October, but thus far is still waiting to get onto the waiting list... *sigh*)

Not sure but believe it would be up to James. I know when I contacted him to get on the waiting list I had indicated that I would like both OC and SB razors. When my number came up we were good to go. I would imagine that James monitors this and would not accommodate anything outside the scope of fairness and his management of the list as a whole.

Would also love to think nobody would abuse the opportunity and essentially try to place a stocking order but then again, I am an eternal optimist Smile

I too asked to purchase both an OC and SB razor when I got on the list last June and he told me that he would do both. Last week I received an email from James that he was ready to do mine but I'm on vacation for the next two weeks. I hope to have them shortly after I get home. I don't see that buying a second razor is taking advantage of anything. There was ample notice given as to when the wait list would close
