Did Wolfman stop making polished Ti?

I was able to get on the wait list at LA Shaving when he sold the BBS-1. Waited over a year to get one, #340. Never been able to get on James wait list when he had one. Now I am always missing a drop when he opens. Just don't have the time to sit in front of a computer screen all day.

Wolfman WR1 .94mm OC on a Darwin
Personna Lab Blue

First shave with the 94OC, ordered from the e-mail form, that arrived yesterday.  With the WR2 head getting all the attention, the WR1 gets overlooked.  It shouldn't.  It's a different kind of shaver but just as good.  I hope bumping this old thread will help some of the new guys research thoroughly before they order. The WR1 is no slouch in the upper gaps.

I filled out the form for his current wait list. I ordered the WR1 head. I just think it looks a little cleaner and seems more nimble. The two heads appear quite different really.

Looks beautiful! Gotta admit I would have lost money betting you would not buy an OC WM Smile

Kinda weird, I know. Actually, I've come to really appreciate the WR1 OC. I have more of them than SB. Ida lost money too, Ian.

Still no fan of the WR2 OC, however.

What is it that you don’t like about the wr2 OC? I typically prefer OCs, but it seems like a majority of the people who post prefer the SB in the WR2. I have the 61 OC, but I want to get one with a higher gap. I’m still debating in another wr1 or a wr2 when I get to place my order.

I have a few WR1s, and I've had a couple .61 that I sold. Just like the higher gaps better. I have a DC WR2 1.15 OC - 1.25 SB. Love it. My next order, when my number comes up will be a 1.45 OC- 1.55 SB. I confess that at this stage of the game I like the WR2 better than the WR1.

I had the 115 and 125OC. For me, the 125OC got bit harsh. The 115 was tolerable. There was no noticeable difference in efficiency in either of the DC heads I had, comparing SB to OC. The only difference was a loss in face feel. It's just not worth it to me. I don't have any of those issues with the WR1 head.

That makes sense.  I had the Karve F SB and F OC.  I found the OC to be smoother, but it was a little much for me to use daily.  I was able to use the F daily, or at least 4 days in a row when I traveled.  I very rarely used it at home.  When you say loss in face feel, do you mean there was more blade feel with the OC?
