I am reminded of an Introductions to Statistics class I had to take. One of the examples given was about a cold medicine. Of course the claims were it could reduce the length of your cold. It was shown it does have statistical significance but just how much of a difference does it make. Given the hypotheticals provided it equaled out to 8 minutes. They didn't call it practical significance, but that's a perfect name for it. I'm not buying a medicine that only makes a difference of 8 minutes. There is no practical reason to waste my money for that.
I've never noticed a difference myself. In my mind it would seem that it would make a difference that I could agree with theoretically, but theory and real life don't always match up. There are too many other factors to take into account. The soap used, if you used a preshave of some sort, was your skin dry that day, and too many other factors. If it makes a difference for someone that's great, but so much of this hobby is finding your personal preference first and foremost. Technique can only get me so far using stuff I don't like like a synthetic brush, a cartridge razor, an aftershave that doesn't work for me, etc.
On the razor, I'd like to see more photos. I'm at the point to where the vendor provided photos just don't do any good, but the finish doesn't look that great on that razor. The original Guerilla looked better to my memory. It isn't that the photos don't look good, it's like looking at photos of an airbrushed model. It's too perfect with the lighting. I need to see it in more realistic conditions to get an idea whether it is for me or not.
