Me too and I am thoroughly enjoying reading these posts! Some are absolutely hilarious and I think much of the comedy comes from guys that don’t even own any Wolfman’s or have been trying to get one unsuccessfully. I’m sure Mr. DuFour is eating this up!!

I don’t think we’re quite there yet. There is no doubt that members have strong feelings on certain issues and Wolfman is maybe at the top of that list. I’ve always been impressed with the Wolfman Razor phenomenon and I’d like to see James continue with his success.  The fact that he’s been sustaining it this long is good news for all razor makers. It means there’s a market for high end quality razors and it might be bigger than anyone thinks.

I choose science and common sense usually. I know how to shave and can get a great shave each & every time with an old Gillette or Schick razor. I have tried artisan razors and IMO they are objects of art that shave no better than vintage razors. Too many "Wolfie" lovers have more Dollars than sense.

It's the magician & not the wand that makes the act.  Wink

I'm sure *most* people can get a fine and/or great shave using an old gillette or schick razor, but why shouldn't someone splurge on something new, nicer or more expensive, if their budget allows for it and they want it? is it stopping you from using a $5 gillette if that's what suits your needs?

Do you really think he is ? I'd be surprised if he would waste his time. Maybe once in a while, or have Tara check it out. I'm not sure how many shaving forums there are, but at least a half dozen, if not more. I'd think he'd be busy finishing razors rather than caring what a bunch of strangers think of his business decisions.

LOOT ... do you think James reads DFS, and other forums ?

I don’t think he has time and I think he gets all the feedback he needs from his own website and customers. Why go looking for more? Maybe he spends his spare time fly fishing or reading science fiction  Big Grin

There's a magnificent looking razor made in Turkey that Bullgoose sells. I love Bullgoose and I love the look of the razor but it's about $800, if memory serves. To anyone willing to pay that, great. But even if I had more money that Bezos, I don't think I could live with myself unless I spent at least the same amount on a good charity. Now, if the razor made the whiskers vanish by waving it across your face . . .

That’s exactly what it does.

Just shaved with it today! It is absolutely worth the money! It’s actually $695. Bullgoose does not carry that version. They have the version that is $500. The Master Collection version is only direct from Murat.
