Wizamets on the Bay

Since a lot of blades with different branding are made in the same factories, I sometimes wonder whether the age and wear on the machines affects the blades that are produced. (For example, the older Wizamets compared to the newer Polsilvers.) Or alternatively, what if a blade with the exact same specifications is produced on two different machines, and some minute difference in the machines affects the blades… (Have wondered this about Personna Lab Blues and Med Preps.)

This is where a factory tour would come in handy. Perhaps my hypotheses are completely irrelevant in actuality.

I’ve been using some new-old-stock Gillette Silver Blues, and they’ve been great. Wizamet is up next. It’s about time to give this blade a try.

Website promotes Free International Shipping but when I went to check out 25$ got added as shipping( to India).

I was half asleep perhaps and pulled the trigger and came to senses when 75$ got deducted...

I have sent the owner 2 mails in a span of last 10hrs to cancel the order and refund but have not heard from him yet.

I am just wondering if this is not a phoney website and the seller is a genuine seller or not. Any inputs on how to deal with this please?

If you read their shipping notes printed on the site it clearly says Free shipping to USA/EU/UK/Canada.
No other region is included. $25 does sound steep but hopefully it is the price of tracked air mail for a chance to
try a blade that isn't in production. In any case, if you paid by Paypal you are covered.

As for lack of response, some sellers are like that...maybe English isn't their strong suit.
The site looks slick enough to me. But when I tried to register an account I did not get the
confirmation email. This morning I saw the email and clicked to verify my email address
and it showed an error. Im not bothered in the least.

PS.Anyone successfully registered an account on that site? I tried and even with a US VPN,
it was unsuccessful.

I'll say that PolSilvers have been my go to blade for some time now but as my stock got lower I relied more on my GSB's because I wasn't going to pay the inflated Polsilver prices that they had risen too. I had a friend order from a seller from Morocco  a set of 250 Wizamet for $50 shipped that we split.(cheaper than the Polsilvers) I was sold immediately on the Wizamet's. I could feel them definitely smoother for me. I went to get 250 more on my own and saw that they were up to $85 for 250 now. NO thanks. Saw this thread and ordered 250 for $50 shipped. Thanks for the heads up !!! Everyone is different in what blades work for them. I don't know sources of info, nor do I care. I am an avid user of the Polsilvers and I see a distinct difference in those and the Wizamet's I got from Morocco. I only hope these are the same for me. Like Tester28 even if they were the same, they are cheaper. I really don't care to get into the debate of them being the same. My face tells the difference, at least for me. I haven't....and I took the opportunity to get some more, for good measure.
Have a feeling these will arrive sooner or later, with a strong possibility of later.
