My understanding is that years ago he had a injury that slowed things down. I was never under the impression that he was hand tying the knots himself but I could be wrong. I thought I remember seeing some posts from people saying they confirmed with (forgetting the name of the owner) has said he was getting knots from a supplier. It's been a while since I have seen a recent acquisition of a brand new Wiborg.

He still makes some. A couple new ones popped up earlier this year. They’re not worth the secondary market price imo.

He’s alive and well just selective with who he responds too. I’ve been emailing him for 3 yrs now and never once has he responded but I know others that get a hold of him within a week. He’s just that kind of guy.

aka, a wanker.

Ironically, I purchased a wiborg back in the day when mr sabini was behaving like one,
hard to track down, unresponsive to emails etc...all that stuff.

how the tables have turned...now you can get sabini's attention through his rep in the US,
while wiborg is a no-no.

have to laugh at all the high end BS.

The brush I had was really nice but I wouldn’t pay more than $200 for one new , let alone $1000+ for a used brush. The handle shapes are not what I would call ergonomic in the least and the scripture is really busy. The knots were the highlight of the experience and they are similar to what maggards offer with the SHD two band knots they sell.
