Have you ever considered simply telling the offending party to eff off? If you are going to get banned anyway, you might as well. Yeah, yeah, I know that's not nice. If it is the place I am thinking of, it is not a nice placeplace IMHO. Which begs the question: Why would anybody hang out there or any other similar place anyway? Better to come here instead.

I am getting close to that point. I am hoping to catch him in his words. Not that it will solve much but worth a try. Smile

I took a look there awhile back, and it looks like the front page articles are more the focus now than the forums. It makes sense, now that Reddit Wicked_Edge is now new "big forum". The buzz is now being driven by the merchants, not the forums. DFS is likely the only forum with a very long-term future, as it is the only place where free and open discussion and merchants come together peacefully. If other forums ban people, who cares? In the end, it's no big loss.

Let's not turn this into a forum bashing thread.

Well that's just not cool after all you contributed there.

Well Hector, happy to have your contributions within DFS!

Understanding the frustration and although not specifically called out in the forum rules, I would kindly ask that we keep the dialogue productive and not let it degrade into direct attacks against other forum communities in the meantime.

Folks, I agree with Kevin. I have never been banned from a forum (at least not yet) but, boy, am I ticked off at a couple. Hey, I  just moved on and didn't bother going back. After being a moderator on a couple of wet shaving forums, I can honestly state that I have seen, and agreed to, some bans that were completely warranted and several that I argued against because I didn't believe they were right. I didn't always win those arguments but a ban should never be frivolous.
