You've never come across a poor performing soap? From another thread

http://damnfineshave.com/thread-what-is-...6#pid52246

Even if the person making it, sucks at their craft?

We call that a shartisan.

I have no reason disbelieve that artisan wasn't telling the truth.  Could it be that some people jumped on the money making bandwagon without being skilled in the craft? .All soaps are not equal. They just aren't. They are not "all great". Some are clearly poorer in technical performance that others. And "reviewers" have admitted they simply don't publicize poor reviews (for whatever their reasons might be)

Yes that is true, but context would help clarify the OP's question.

What are you talking about? Never heard an artisan knock another one. Not on this forum at least...

I know of one soap maker that had an offensive comment on their website that could be the same company the OP is referring to. I'd rather not reveal the name because I just checked their site and the comment is no longer there. It was a remark about other soap makers in general having inferior products, but there was more to it than that. I can't recall how it was worded exactly but I know it bothered me enough to empty my cart and send them a message. Fwiw, nobody on here ever talks about this particular brand of soaps anyway. I've seen one for sale in BST once I think, but that's about it.

Ha...I bet that's the reason they removed the comment.

I would think not, they are several people who are not shy about PAA bashing, even around here, it's unfortunate since it seems to be from years ago and some can't just move on.

No, not at all. PAA is actually one of my all time favorites. Their soaps and aftershaves are among the best I've ever used. Also, Douglas and Fran have provided exceptional customer service.

I have about 30 soaps. Have never had a so called bad soap. I would buy every single one of them again. Except arko. Just don't like the scent. Good performer though.

I will be the Paria here. I call BS on the original post of this thread. To make an inflammatory statement without proof or a source is tantamount to trolling.

If indeed it was a personal message to the OP, and he makes it public, that's a whole 'nother can of worms. Someone may have confided in them, and that confidence is now broken.

Until proof is provided this thread could go down the conspiracy rabbit hole in a hurry and in the mean time all the witch hunters are frothing for a kill. When the OP comes back with something more substantial than vague innuendo, I consider this nothing more than an instigator of trouble.

It was an emailed news letter from the artisan company.

To name the company would be making inflammatory post. Rather I made s vague post. Apparently there's more then one such company who's done so. I didn't attack all artisans. I said some.

I'm not one to want to attack others even if I disagree with their opinions. Serval shave you tubers will vaguely talk about some companies or other shavers bad actions without naming names. I agree with their policy.mi don't want to start some crusade against the company Like what happen with htgam. I simply wanted to discuss why some artisans would be negative towards others.

Similar to why did Pepsi run negative cocola ads. I don't get negative ads or words towards competition. Ones product should stand on its own.
