Lots of love for L&L here, which is new to me.  What is their scent strength like?  Thanks!

When it comes to L&L Grooming, scent strength depends on which soap you get, but I would say that most of them are perhaps just slightly beneath Barrister and Mann levels of scent strength. (Meaning that you shouldn’t have any difficulties sensing the scent throughout the shave.)

Freddy, this is interesting — I've used probably about a dozen different soaps by Stirling Soap Company, and they have all been in the very upper echelons when it comes to scent strength. Interestingly, I’ve also never experienced any irritation with them, which I cannot say about some other strongly scented soaps. Truly, mileage can vary in this hobby (which makes it all the more interesting).

Matt, I'm pretty sure it is way more me than the soap.  I even discussed this with Rod (ezlovan) at the St. Louis Shave Meet-up and even he said that for a few of his soaps he had to ask Mandy for help.  He did say they worked with the soaps and I do know that the new Stirling Gin & Tonic that he brought to the meet-up I could smell but I smell almost nothing with the original tub, which is what I have.  In all fairness, I do have this problem with other favorite soap makers, as well.  I think, in my case, my age may play a part, I have also had nasal surgery twice to remove polyps, and I am permanently on a nasal spray to prevent their return.  All of this, I am guessing, has to play a part, which is why I think it is more me than the artisan.  None of this stops me from using Rod's and Mandy's soaps.  In fact, after I finish this post, I'm off to shave with Stirling Peach, which I can smell and is perfect for the warmish days we've been having here. Big Grin

It’s a shame that some of Stirling’s production comes across as weak to you, but I’m glad you have found at least something that has decent scent strength, and peach sounds like a perfect scent for right about now. Smile

Getting back to Wholly Kaw, has anyone tried the vegan version of Man from Mayfair or Monaco Royale, with the soybean glycerides and shea butter unsapofiniables? Everyone seems to be talking about the donkey milk formula, but I’m also interested in the recent update to the vegan formula.

(Edit: Realized that the actual merchant thread for Wholly Kaw might be an even better place for any responses to the question about the new vegan formula. https://damnfineshave.com/thread-whollyk...olly%2Bkaw)
