who is reknotting brushes?

FWIW, I've tried several times to get a setting on a black synthetic that worked for me.  And I could find a loft that felt right.

I think I have too strong a preference for two band badger.  I hope yours goes well and is satisfying for you.

A synthetic brush is all that I've been using for quite some time now and I like them. I think over the past year, I've only used a badger brush 1-2 times.

I have had some synthetic knots that were just too dense for me though so I moved on from them.

I can relate to this. Out of the three Tuxedo brushes that I have, only one is at a loft that I’m completely satisfied with… (And that one happens to be the 24 mm Tuxedo I simply dropped into a Whipped Dog handle with no adjustments.)
