Thanks for the reply

I’ve heard them mention about brightness in reviews. But never quite understood what that meant.

I was debating between the Wild Turkey 101 and the Early Times bonded. I guess I was looking for something that was around 100 proof and new to try.

Had a couple of glasses of Eagle rare tonight. I’ve had it before, but tonight it tasted even better than the 1st time. Wish it wasn’t so hard to find.

I’m not an expert and there are certainly bourbons that showcase it well but in this case I believe it’s just due to how they blended different barrels and it didn’t keep the same profile that ET BiB traditionally had.

Wild Turkey 101 is a perfect example of familiarity breeding contempt but it’s a fantastic staple that belongs on every bar. Another I forgot to mention is Evan Williams BiB, another super sleeper BiB that can be found for under $20.

Eagle Rare is so good, probably my favorite sub 100 proof pour. I’m fortunate that I can still find it for around $40 when I need a bottle. Cheers!

DV, you are right on all counts. The EW BiB is a great economic pour. The EW SiBbl is great as well. I am loving the RR 10 year & Single bbl. Truly a great time to be a brown water drinker.
