I'd love to see some of Chatillon Lux's scents in a Barrister and Mann Reserve base or Hallows in Ryan's latest Tallow+Steel base.  How about Wholly Kaw's Chypre Rose Concerto in a Tallow+Steel base?  Or Leviathan in a duck tallow base?  I could really go for Penhaligon's Blenhiem Bouquet in a B&M Reserve base and why doesn't Barrister and Mann do something in duck tallow?  Like Blenhiem Bouquet in a reformulated duck tallow reserve base?

Well....that was fun Big Grin
No one can do a base in duck......only Bufflehead....Reddit says so. Anyone else is stealing.

Really?  Bufflehead patented duck fat?
There are plenty of duck tallow soaps out there now.  Oleo, Murphy & McNeil, Grooming Dept, and probably others.  Justin at Bufflehead may have started it but he inspired others to follow.  Is Bufflehead even in business anymore?  When a soap get so hard to get that people just forget about them and move on, you're into the truly limited production end of things.

Mo was beaten up like no ones business when he used duck fat. M&M got the same business. Reddit has a hierarchy with artisans. My view has been that if you can do a base better than the previous guy you do it. Asinine to think an artisan can own or have the only priviledge of using a specific animal fat.

As far as Bufflehead I never got the allure. Small batch hobbyist that made a tier 2 soap that leveraged duck before most. But I agree with you that Oleo and GD made better use of the base.

Regretfully had to sell a Eucris puck, but it was the worst performer I've ever had to deal with.

But don't you love that Eucis scent?  Man I wish they would make it lather.

Eucris would be great for this time of year, too.

I would love to see the holy black reformulate as my Tell Tale Heart set performs very decently, my Lavender creeper performs very poorly. For the price tag I wish they were better.

Couldn't agree more. I think HB is one of the best at marketing but their base is very poor. PAA gets knocked around for bad behavior years ago but they can also put a commercial together. I read that their new base is off the charts.

Strange as it may sound, I'd like to see Stirling kick it up a notch. That's not to say that their soaps aren't already great, but just something to let everyone know they are still in the game.  Wink
Secretary Ramsey put his foot into it yesterday . . . in the course of his remarks he said that California “needs water and better society.”  “So does h-ll,” yelled someone in the crowd.
