I just use whatever soap happens to be in the mug. It is the KISS principle - one mug and one good soap. The simplest solution is often the best. At least it makes the morning shave quick and easy.

Usually grab one of my top soaps like L&L, B&M or T+S and just shave. I figure if I'm in a rush might as well use the best I can soap wise.

Whenever I go to shave, I assume there’s someone else on the planet shaving, so I say “I’m gonna go shave, too.”

I would go for a cream such as TOBS Sandalwood or The Body Shop's Maca Root.

You know, I have had issues with lathering MW before (who hasn't? sorry Michelle Wink), but I've discovered that it kind of depends on the scent for some odd reason. This tub of Orange Vanilla that I have lathers like a beast and rather quickly too.

I’m glad to hear that, and now that I think about it, I’ve had similar experiences. Some of them just seem more willing to lather than others.

I use Kiss My Face or Nivea Sensitive shaving gel if I'm in a hurry. Aveeno sensitive in the can isn't too bad either. I can do 2 passes in less than 10 minutes with the canned stuff. It's not as enjoyable, but it works.

Tabula Rosa - just apply some to your face and have at it with a brush. Done and done.
