I would say WSP, Rustic or Formula T. They both lather real quick, and are very forgiving.

I’ve only had good shaves with Haslinger, and the same goes for Tabac. Great soaps! I’ve yet to try Crowne & Crane.

Also, HoosierShave brought up a great point — creams can “shave off” (pun intended) a couple of minutes of preparation time. When all is said and done, though, I (too) would rather skip a shave than rush a shave. Got to have my ritual!

Great answers so far! I do as HoosierShave suggested sometimes and use a shaving cream.

But, although I normally shave at night and don't have time constraints, I do like to pull out one of my shave sticks for my shave after shower on Monday afternoon before work. My favorite of late has been the Wilkinson Sword shave stick. This would probably be my travel soap if I ever traveled. It is just about fool-proof, works in any water type, smells good to me, and most importantly performs well and consistently.

The other 5 or 6 shaves of the week involve an artisan shaving soap 90% of the time.

Taylor of Old Bond St shaving cream - can't get any quicker than that.

If super-rushed, any cream in a tube (preferably La Toja, but I'm out right now). Skip the brush, apply to face, add water with fingertips, go!

The same for me. I rarely am in a hurry, but when I am, I use my vintage Acqua di Parma Colonia tube, Art of Shaving Rose Absolute, Crabtree & Evelyn Sweet Almond Oil, Floris creams, or Penhaligon's creams.

If I'm short on time I use either the yellow can of Barbasol, or Sadalwood Cremo SC.

Well, I ended up short on time this morning, so I used Kiss My Face 4in1 Moisture Shave with a brush. Super quick while remaining very effective! I still prefer my shaving soaps, but it's nice to know I can get a quick comfortable shave going this route.

I have never had an issue with any of them, even when I am in a hurry, which is very rare as I get up fairly early before work.  Shy

This.

But B&M Glissant base is fast and easy to get a great lather from.

I have a hard time grabbing a cream as I prefer soaps, but when I do it's T&H Sandalwood. I've never tried Kiss My Face creams though, however I do have Cremo Cream or whatever it's called, and it's surprisingly good due to the level of slickness.

Usually I would do my exact same routine, but faster. But there have been a few cases where I did switch to a cream. Currently have Palmolive and Musgo Real on hand.
