Just Here for the Shaves
Williamsburg, KY
It always goes to the very first post rather than to the newest since my last reading. Most forums go to last unread. Hate trying to figure out where I stopped reading to pick u the conversation again. I've looked thru settings to see if it is something I can set but haven't found anything. Am I missing something, the only one with this problem or just need to live with it. Thanks, Dave

If you click on the white arrow in the blue circle to the right of the thread name it will take you to the first post that you have not read. If you look to the far right of the thread, you will see who posted last. Click on the word “Last” and you will be taken to the last post, even if there are posts before that that you have not read.

I hope that helps.

Just so you know ... The white arrow in the blue circle is to the left of the thread name for me.  I am running Chrome on a Mac, in case that matters.

Wow, that's really interesting.  I'm running Firefox on my iMac.  andrewjs18, is there a logical explanation for that?

can you send me a screenshot? I have a mac mini at home, but won't be able to check for several hours, if at all, for the next few days.

Here it is Andrew.  This works fine for me, just on the left instead, and FYI it is the same for me on my 2014 iPad w Chrome.

I actually think the way you see it is the correct way it should be coded into the theme. I'll have my theme guy look into it.

edited to add: that's how it looks for me when I click on 'latest posts' at the top of the forum. how does it look when you go inside a forum section?

I tried General Shaving Talk and the BST, and they both looked the same.

Ah, that's how it looked when I clicked on "Latest Posts."  However, I never click on that so didn't notice that layout.  When I click on a specific forum, such as "General Shaving Talk" or "Buying, Selling & Trading", for example, which is what I usually do, the arrow is as I showed in my screen shot, above.
