I used a razor tonight that I am desperate to get some information on. It is stamped on the front side with "43 Garantie Paris" and on the back side with an oval and "18.52" inside.
Anyhow...4/8 wedge, and this one appears to be a native 4/8, not a larger blade that has been ground down by honing. I say this because the scales are very petite, and the shape of the blade is geometrically correct for it's size, with limited hone wear.
Took an absolutely phenomenal edge from a surgical black Arkansas stone with my home made solution...
