Alive (Mammoth) creamy moss
Shave 2 ・ 121 g left ・ $14 / shave

This base is loaded with duck fat. That makes it slick and thick and a pleasure to use. I made my lather with three grams of soap this morning. What a glossy heap of ooze! Made me glad I was alive. Two perfectly painless passes and skin that gets softer as the hours pass. On the blade front, I’m happy to write that this week’s Kai Mild shows no signs of rust. My little fishing lure box is doing a wonderful job keeping the corrosive sea breeze away from the delicate blade.

Love this wish had bought multiples

Wish there were more re-releases of community favorites. Why go through all the trouble of developing something and then do one batch?

Wednesday's shave

I have only a handful of non-tallow [NT] bases I like. This may be the best of them.... a great lather. NT soaps commonly manifest themselves with an early foam upon loading. This early load big bubble thing has always irked me. The PK6 base does not do this - immediately creates a large volume low profile proto-lather. This base and MdC require a 15 swirl load and one has enough to make a 5 pass shave. The PAA homages are really quite good. The shave today is a Tom Ford rendition of Plum Japonais... . Very very well done. My last ramble - and slightly off thread topic... The PAA AFS bottles are in the motif of the old Myrsol glass containers. Very ergonomic with cool 'significant' plastic caps, thick glass, grooved for grippage. I keep the empties and use for other AFS juices.
