Drat! Here we go again. I wander off the path of Martin de Candre for just a few shaves, and my skin revolts. Modern soap bases – oh, they’re marvels of complexity, intricate as a recipe for Beef Wellington – but my face? My face just wants bread and water. Every shave with Absinthe has been a quiet miracle, nothing but trouble-free bliss. Why can’t I just stick with something simple that works so well for me?
