Yeah, I suppose for the next couple of weeks I’ll focus on hard pucks. Trumpers, AoS, Fine, Floris, Harris, and move to some Christmasy stuff after that. It never ceases to dumbfound me how much I enjoy the triple milled stuff and I wonder why I ever leave. This morning featured a brand new old stock Trumpers Lime and just as you’d expect, scent is understated and artfully done. It’s lime sure enough but not just straight citrus. Seems like English soaps always add the wood. Also featured is an old DublDuck boar that is just fabulously soft and under utilized. The shave this morning felt so highbrow as to have me stretching for my monocle to brush off my top hat.
Coattails Redux (Grooming Dept) saffron rose
Shave 4 ・ 124 g left
Now Coattails is starting to smell like rose honey. This is a very fine smelling soap. And it’s great fun to build a lather with it. While not quite as slick as a duck fat soap, it still gives a smooth, painless shave that leaves me smooth for at least twelve hours.

I don't know if it was the Alpha Lone Star razor (first shave), the Simpson Chubby Synthetic (rarely use), or this soap (I bloomed it, and it was my first use)... but today was the best shave I've had in... maybe EVER.
