I have this glass and mirror cabinet that my SO decorated with a selection of items from my collection of frags, shave gear, etc.  Yesterday I was just looking at what was in there and I saw this wooden soap puck container hiding in there.  Well inside was a puck of tallow Fine Green Vetiver.  The aftershave has been in a drawer that I open everyday for years and I thought the soap was lost, used, whatever, never to be seen again.  Got to digging around in past posts and emails and found I had picked this up in 2017.

What's everybody's take on Seaforth? Tried a couple and found it OK but not great.

I like the the lather and the scents. I don't keep stuff around that I don't like on some level.

It’s good to have an old friend back in the den. Proraso Green was my first shaving soap/cream and my whole family here in the US and my relatives in Italy use. I had a family member pass away a little over a year ago and he had like 5 brand new tubes of it that was given to me so I was set for life with those. I love the smell as it brings back lots of memories with each use. Today was no different. I ordered the aftershave splash but they didn’t ship them together and I could wait to use it and Dave in KY who was very generous sending me his mint vintage Webber to try out I had to use other products. I also always use First Lather when using a cream and although it’s not in the photo I put a layer on before lathering up the Proraso and what I got with the combo of products and a great shaving razor was a stellar 2 pass shave!

Tallow Tuesday

WSP Ol' Kentucky

Great lather, basic scent, but I do love it... Must have something to do with the name? .

I must say, these tallow soaps from WSP are outstanding. [Image: ba9d9b0450213635f6d3ac1c0d74c192.jpg]

Hi DanLaw ,

Unfortunately, I had a bad experience with Spearhead Shaving's Seaforth! Fleur de France soap and aftershave. Look at my Review for details. As a result, I have lost faith in the brand. Maybe this is unfair as they make other homage soap/aftershaves, and of course you have other people here who feel differently . It may just be that single fragrance which was a swing and a miss. It is a shame, because I remember Seaforth! from the '70's. It was the up scale competitor to Old Spice and was, in my opinion, the superior product. PAA also did (does?) an homage to Seaforth! which I liked. However, I find that PAA's aftershaves are really way too strong to use generously as an A/S splash and are much closer to colognes. Also be aware that all of Spearhead's Seaforth! A/S recreations have glycerine in them so they will leave your face feeling sticky. I hate that.

Ethos - Vetivert - (F base)  If used consistently, would have about three weeks left in this jar.  Happy to have a "back up" waiting. Smile Smile
