Roam! The Glissant base is such a great pleasure to use. Hobbyist mentioned on another thread wonderful memories kindled by Roam and on lathering it, I definitely had a similar experience.
A few years ago a buddy of mine was able to get a permit to visit an active archaeological site on the Chisholm Trail. A small group of us, traveling very light by horseback, headed out in rugged backcountry for five days. Sleeping on the ground, it was cold so we huddled in blankets close to the fire with a couple pass around nudges of bourbon to take the edge off, surrounded by tack and hobbled horses.
By the end of the trip we all smelled like saddle, grass, smoke and there was one of the guys who was a roll your own smoker to round things out.
It was almost like I was right there again shaving. Minus the aching back.
