Fresh Rosemary t. (Le Père Lucien) lavender, lemon, rosemary
This is one of LPL’s few tallow soaps. It makes a fantastic lather, rich and slick and plentiful with ample slip and oodles of joy. I could be forever happy if I thought all my soaps performed as well. The scent, on the other hand, is on the fuggy side of fresh. It’s a soft, oozy sort of rosemary that feels more like a cosy quilt at bed time than a brisk walk at dawn. I perked it up today with four cranks of the menthol mill. That was enough to bring on a chill without making it smell like medicine.
