Ooooo.... How long ago did you get that soap, Tommy? Sounds right up my alley.
Neroli... Had it about one year. It is not overpowering. Just the right amount of Tom Ford vibe to pique the desire to bathe in Oud Wood. And I did. My dog smells like TF now from me loving his neck.

What do you think Neroli?... . Very similar to the Original I thought.

HS - very curious about that?!  That recipe would be awesome for someone like Frank or Will to have.

FWIW I remembered that WCS was advertising Shulton Old Spice.  Snooping around their site, I only found one extant trace of Shulton at WCS , namely this out-of-stock product page for Shulton Old Spice Shaving Cream.  I don't remember for sure whether or not they sold the juice.

I suppose it may be academic, as I, too, would as soon see a modern rendering by any of the artisans that have been mentioned.  I lack the refined sense of smell that many of you have, but in this case, that might just be a blessing:  If the product works great, smells great, and is similar enough to walk me down memory lane, then I'd be a fully satisfied customer.

It’s been cold in my burg for over a week now. Came out of Denver where it was chilly but got home to sub-zero temps and remembered why I like it so much here.  It’s cold that hurts your face and that’s the way I like it.  This morning, after a wonderful Black Velvet shave yesterday I thought to keep the Vetiver vibe alive and chose MdC Vetyver and loved it.  My MdC just has a few shaves left so I best be hunting a replacement.

Mike’s Bay Rum (Mike’s Natural Soaps) bay & bergamot
Shave 24 ・ 86 g left ・ $0.67 / shave

As I work my way into this puck, the scent grows stronger, and that’s motivating. But at the same time, the soap itself is not diminishing. Even after a full and frothy load yesterday, the puck weighs the same this morning. This means that on average I’m using only 1.2 grams of soap per shave. No complaints about the performance. Last week with Mike's soaps was a pure pleasure. But at this rate of consumption, I'll have enough Bay Rum to keep me swaggering in lather until April 11. That fact takes a little wind out of the sails.

I don’t know how my neighbor Whiterook does it. He seems to be able to punch through a puck effortlessly, chewing up half a dozen tubs each year. Snaps to him!
