Post: Stirling witch hazel, PAA Mysterium Serum

This was the first shave with the TryABlade.com "Stainless Steel" blade. I stropped the blade six times per side on my arm before the shave. It was a very rough first pass. First I thought it was a razor issue (and changed razors). Then I thought it was a growth issue and went for a more efficient 1914 razor. I went through all five ASR razors before half of the first pass was done. I then jumped to the Ti Yates 921 with Astra SP to finish the first pass and do a second pass resulting in a very close and comfortable shave.

I think I will take the rest of the mystery TryABlade blades I was given and put them with the scraper tools and stick with the GEM style blades that I purchased and know what they are.

I wish that someone still made Auto Strops. Mine works (and shaves) fine, but I need a new strop.

I think it is the coolest razor ever made.

I don't worry about the stropping. If you need it, make one out of some leather.

Dave, I am constantly amazed at the variety of razors that you have!
Just when I thought I had seen everything, then you surprised me with another one.
Thanks for keeping shaving interesting!
