Razor: Gem Micromatic Clog-Pruf Peerless, Gold Washed
Blade: Schick Injector
Brush: Sun Soaps Walnut/Maple w/Yaqi Two-band badger
Lather: Spearhead Shaving Seaforth Black Watch
Aftershave: Seaforth! Black Watch Aftershave Toner
Additional Care:

First of all, beautiful photo and beautiful gear.  Second, how do you get an injector blade to work in a GEM?

Thanks in advance for your response.
The injector blade clamps in tight enough under pressure of the top cap such that it does not move.  This also works in the MMOC.  Thanks for your kind words.

Regards,
Dave

Thanks for this excellent idea!
I am assuming the MMBT would also work, but have you tried other GEM style razors with injector blades?

Wow, I had no idea that Eveready made some sort of stropping device which I presume is the device shown on the right? Sort of like the Valet Auto Strop?

Yes although it's no good for modern blades that have the PTFE coating as you would be removing the coating.

Yeah, Feather makes two blades for the Valet Auto Strop: a stainless steel coated blade which can not be stropped, and an uncoated carbon steel blade designed to be stropped. Unfortunately, the strop for my VAS deteriorated years ago so I only use the SS blade. I am thinking about getting someone to make me a custom replacement strap (it is very thin) but I never got around to it. THe strop for the VAS has two sides, a smooth side for normal stropping, and a patterned side for accepting a paste. Does yours have that?

The ER and Both my Pre-Valet Autostrops ( A1 and A2 ) are smooth on both sides.....perhaps from use but I don't know.

I have only tried Injector blades in the Micromatic series of razors. I have used a half DE in a Gem Junior, and that works too but I prefer Gem blades in those.
