It makes a huge difference and I agree with BBS that Parker should have started at what is now 3 and worked up from there to obtain more aggressive settings for those who want or need them. Fortunately, the 5 setting proved perfect for me as it seems to have for you.

I've got an Eveready razor A friend gave me. Finally got the nerve to use it two or three weeks ago and it was pretty efficient, they are nice razors. that one looks nice

Thanks so much! Yeah, I made the mistake of starting in single edges with a GEM Micromatic Open Comb - completely butchered my face. I found there's a big difference in blades as well. The PTFE blades made a huge improvement in my shaves. I had used some of the non-coated blades and thought the razor sucked. Switched the blades and BAM! This thing rock 'n' rolls! The MMOC still butchered my face with PTFE blades too. hahaha. Thing is a beast! I hope you enjoy yours and get some good mileage out of it!
