I tried Snake Bite some time ago. Never again! My face felt like it was on fire. Curse my sensitive skin.

NeoXerxes, yes it burns, but it's a good burn! And then your face is frozen, lol.

I like to put mine in the freeze while I shower and until I need to put it, as others like to do as well Wink

Balms:
Soap Commander (Hands down the best balm I have ever used)
Stirling
Creed GIT
Nivea Sensitive
Crabtree & Evelyn

Splashes:
Barrister & Mann aftershave tonic
Stirling
Fine

I haven't tried many splashes so there may be others I like too. I have always preferred balms until I tried B&M and realized a splash can nourish the skin if designed properly. The problem I have with many is that they have too basic of ingredients and nothing to sooth the skin.

(Besides the scent, DRH splashes are quite different in formulation, and feel.)

1. DRH Pink
2. DRH Sandalwood
3. DRH Skin Tonic
4. Lotion Opaline
5. Pitralon (Suisse)

H.M.: DRH Arlington, Tabac

(I don't care for balms, personally.)

I don't have very sensitive skin so don't use balms all that much and have only tried Soap Commander. It's nice and absorbs fully which I like.

Splashes:

1. Mrysol
2. Floid
3. Fine & Razorock
4. Proraso
5. Pitralon

I have to give Alt Innsbruck a classic honorable mention as well once I tamed it's strength; love the menthol.

Claus, I'm currently really enjoying the Chatillon Lux Aftershave toners and balms. Shawn also makes a Roborant which is similar to his toners but more soothing (if thats even possible). If you are in to fragrances, these are unique and very nice.

I would agree with Marko in that I think Shawn has the potential to be the AS complement to Will at Barrister_N_Mann. Very creative mixes and the scents are amongst the best that I have sampled. I have only used the Bon Vivant (twice) and the Gratiot League Square (once) AS splashes and will share more thoughts after a ffew more uses as well as the Toner.

Favorable thus far though!

As of today here's my top 3.

#1 Alt Innsbruck
#2 Black Powder (folsom&co)
#3 Command Presence (reef point soap)

Still so many fragrances and artisans out there to try from. Looking forward to discover some more.
