You're pretty generous yourself ExtraProtein!   And while we're on the subject of "favorite things", your background art is an unfailing delight - one of my favorite things here at DFS.

You MUST get this one, place an ad in the BST….best Boar ever done in the history of Boar Brushes.  If you don’t think so, I’ll purchase it from you no questions asked

Semogue far better than they get credit. MadItalian swears by their boar. Also, their badgers are quite nice, particularly the brushes they do for Tatara that we had on passaround preCOVID

Over the past several months, my new favorite thing has been the discovery of European non-tallow soaps. I've never had anything against vegan but the majority of US artisans use tallow and that was simply what I was purchasing. Earlier this year I was lucky enough to purchase a couple Laugar soaps from vtmax and my eyes were opened! I've since discovered, at least for myself, the joy of Saponificio Varesino and Martin de Candre soaps. Meissner Tremonia has been in the den for a couple years now and I find the performance of the lather to be great (the look/feel of the actual lather is a different story). But these three "new to me" soaps have been an absolute joy to discover and use lately. I've seen a couple reviews of the Swedish Witch soap and am hoping to try it in the near future.

This SOTN photo illustrates three of my "new Favorite things":

RazoRock xXx is the first aftershave I've bought without a test sniff. I always did like the RR "Super Tallow" soap base though, and thought I'd take a chance, based solely on the description of the scent.

I've used Feather blades many times before, but ended up not caring for them. Too sharp or something. However, since getting the Henson AL13 Mild, I find that they're pretty good after all, so now they're officially back in my blade rotation.
I like them okay in the Edwin Jagger DE87 and the RazoRock SLOC too, but maybe not for the first use.

I used to despise Proraso Green croap. I would say "Friends don't let friends shave with Proraso Green." I liked the Red though.

Now though, I've learned that I just didn't load enough of it.

Also, I was suspicious of strong menthol AS, until I tried a small sample bottle of Osage Rub. I decided that it was worth taking a chance on the Proraso Green AS, ordered some, and I find that I like it, even though it's less menthol than I expected. The molded glass bottle is nice too.

I have two new favorite things and they're related. The Supply Razor 2.0 and the Personna Injector blades.

I really wanted to like the Supply injector razor. It took a long time for me to get the hang of it. And it spent a lot of time gathering dust.

Recently I found that with the Mild plate and the right angle, it's great. And I even like the Personna blades. They get really smooth after about the third shave. When I'd normally be tossing a DE.

There's another good new thing for me, too... Custom Handles! Not just Trotter, though Paul's are by far the best I've used.

At this point, I've swapped out all of my generic 'store bought' synth brushes with custom brushes. The simple joys of life. Lol.

Newest favorite Hardware:
BIC blades in my Razorrock Lupo Aluminum razor. For me, this blade works better in this razor.
New favorite razor is the Henson AL13 (aggressive prototype).

Newest favorite Software:
Ethos Greenfresh shaving soap and body wash. The best performing and skin enhancing products on the planet, IMHO.
Spearhead Sea Spice Lime soap, aftershave and EDT. This is my new favorite scent.
