Hey Chuck,
I never interviewed myself for Sharpologist, I did on my blog waaaaaaay back before anyone knew who PPF was and before HTGAM was making shave soap. It was when I was reviewing other artisans and I wanted to review Fran's. Was it right, No. Have I apologized? Yes. I made a lot of mistakes starting out and have been trying to make corrections for the last two years. We blew up fast and things got crazy, I know that's a lame excuse but it was out of control a bit.

As for posing as a vet? That sickens me. No matter how many times I post a link to how that forum came to be people still choose to ignore it...so here we go again.
I was asked by a member of the service to help him create his own forum for Vets and Current Members of the military. I really didn't have much time and was a tad apprehensive....but I did it. It's these accusations that have made me hesitate when folks reach out theses days, "how will this be interpreted?". No one should have to feel that way. I never posed as a vet so please stop perpetuating that myth. Here is a link to the communications on the origin of that forum: http://imgur.com/a/jJG4t
So realize, I wasn't "participating" in a Vet forum, I helped a fella create it, apparently against my better judgement. Most I did there was post for our podcast. Never any malice intended.

HTGAM and PFF did not lay low for a couple months but a little over a week...as I worked on new designs and a new site for transparency. Both companies officially joined forces the March before. That's why both companies were on our return labels...if anyone cared to look. HTGAM is still a popular man blog under that name and the HTGAM Forum still exists, without shame.

So these are just a few of the rumors that have already been twisted and confused...imagine how many others there are. I have tried to answer many of these accusations in many forums, but they always get removed, distorted, thread locked...or all of the above.

Fran and I have been working out tails off for over 4 years, 7 days a week. We try and provide the best customer service, offer high quality products at a fair price and give back as much as possible to the community. I am very passionate about not only what I do, but wet shaving. I am always trying to Spread The Word Daily.
If anyone out there has ANY QUESTIONS, come to us. Either Fran or myself would love to give you our side. People are more than just Black or White. This is called splitting in psychology. Again, I admit to the mistakes I made but refuse to apologize to unfounded accusations that are just straight up BS. Fran and I are humans, just as you are and we ask that folks let us grow and move on. You need not buy from us, it's cool. I don't expect everyone to like us or forgive any past mistakes. It just gets old when people can't have a simple thread about how they enjoy something we pour our hearts and souls into without people swooping down. At some point this stuff turns to slander, libel and false light, which is illegal.

At the end of the day, we just want to do what we do and get on with our lives. I have breezed thru this thread so forgive me if I missed something. But when it comes to apologizes, no one has done than more than me. In an interview with Con (shortly after the "noise"), Peter, on the round table in threads. Typically the folks that don't like me, don't see them...because they don't follow me...i tried. Yet they demand an apology over and over...i give one, nothing changes.

So lastly, before I sign off, if anyone has any questions....ask me. I can be PMd here, facebook, G+, emailed, Called, I am super easy to reach and accessable. I really don't understand why these folks show up on a thread titled "what's your favorite PAA Soap", clearly they dislike me and are not customers...unless it's just to stir crap up? nah. Smile

CaD314 , as a supporter of your company and one who enjoys both your hardware and software, I just want to reach out and say Thank You for making an effort to level these false accusations and rumours.

Unfortunately, I think we both know that this will not be the end of it...it has never been the end of it. The few individuals that perpetuate these rumours do not care one iota to look past their preconceived ideas and look for an answer. I have seen you make yourself available in several different locations to respond to this nonsense, and yet the nonsense continues.

There are many of us that enjoy your products, get a HUGE kick out of your marketing strategy, and try to "go to bat" for you when these rumours surface.

You keep doing what you do. You make excellent products, and charge a fair market value for them. Let the haters hate, let the lovers love. Just keep doing what you do, because what you do makes many people happy.

And NOBODY can realistically deny the HUGE contributions you, your alter-ego(s), and your companies do for the wet shaving community, so just keep on doing it.

I'm still my own man and still have my own opinions. Having said that, CaD314 thank you for making your statement.

It is good to read both sides of the equation. It always helps in having more educated opinions and to understand both sides.

If you read this thread, I guess I was defending you and I have no idea of the details. "innocent unless proven otherwise" and all that. But I have two questions.

1. You've had multiple podcasts, start stong, then they disappear or episodes come far apart. I like them. Do you plan to do more and release them quicker?

2. You have some kind of roundtable on youtube but its long and, well long. Do  you plan to put these up on itunes. Its not like we need to actually see anything because its mostly discussion.

Just wondering

Thanks

Hey Grim!
Yeah, we get busy....but just recorded a new Cutting Edge tonight with Con. The time difference makes it tough. That said, the new episode will be out in a few days!
The Wet Shaver's Round Table (http://wetshaversroundtable) is weekly and live, Saturday night 6pm eastern! then they go directly to youtube! We have had a "fan", god I hate that word, convert them to audio podcasts here: http://pca.st/LXFs

I hope to get more Moustache and Blade and Cutting Edge podcasts up this year after the Big Shave West. By all means, send me an email and virtually kick me in the ass! I love doing them and I hope people can really get to know me and what I'm truly about thru them! Smile

Contact me anytime my man!
