Pleasant surprise today.
I bought a DCCosmetics v95 on eBay on a lark. Wanting a brass razor with neutral exposure and medium gap after a ton of difficulty with a high exposure, modest gap razor.
(Handle is from a PAA ascension razor (SS handle) where the head threads stripped)

First shave today, one day growth, head shave.
Personna Super blade
Glycerin soap pre-shave
Mike’s Naturals shave soap

Really smooth and easy, almost no irritation (still some possibly due to incomplete healing from my last debacle) and absolutely BBS with 2 pass plus some touch up.

Happy with this configuration!

Second shave with this set up. Two days growth this time instead of just one, since I took Christmas Day off. New blade, same brand.

Rookie mistake day, I guess. I still got a bbs mostly non-irritating shave, but not as good and I gave myself two clean nicks, which is unusual for me.
Dang it. A few scratches left as well, but not much there to worry about.

Overall, good results but less than perfect and I can only blame myself.
