Wolfman WR2-SB Mirror-Polished/Bob's Razor Works Bull Mastiff with a Gillette Platinum 'Swede' (1).  This WR2 0.95 was just as smooth as my WR1 0.61 razors and quite a bit less aggressive.  Even with the new blade it gave me an easy BBS shave.

Not shaving today but in the next day or so I’ll be giving the WR2 a little rest and start experimenting with the stainless Karve C & D setup that arrived last week. This is the first time I haven’t started using new gear immediately but I had an affair to go to this weekend and didn’t want to risk a mediocre shave. My goal is to find a plate combo that can shave me just as well as the WR2 but that I’m not scared to travel with.

I've done a lot of traveling over the past couple months and, like you, I don't want to travel with my favorite razors.  The Fine Marvel has given me great shaves while on the road and, at $30-$40 for the razor, I won't be too disappointed if I lose it.

I don’t travel often but when I do it’s always been back to carts. And while I won’t let that alone cause me too much distress I’d absolutely go nuts if one of my Wolfman went missing. In the last year and a half the few times I did travel my luggage looked like it had been completely ravaged by security/TSA etc.  while the Karve is not inexpensive by any means there would be less of an emotional attachment.
