I think I have a new worst. The Treet carbon steel "black beauties". Bought them on a whim because they seemed intriguing, but boy, they should be called "black tuggies". Granted, I've only tried one blade out of the pack. I made it through one shave uncomfortably figuring maybe it was the razor I used so this morning I threw it into a different one with worse results. I made two strokes and said "enough" and changed blades. I'll give them one more go with a fresh blade just to make sure it wasn't a dud.

I found Bolzano Superinox blades so hit or miss in just the one tuck I had that I never bothered ordering any more once the initial lot was gone.

The worst by far as it would not cut my whiskers at all is the Dorco Single Edge.

It might scrape paint off a window pane though.

Oh good, glad to know I'm not the only one. I always see people giving a lot of love to them, so I wondered if I was alone on that one.

TREET did not work for me any of the 3 razors I tried it in, Derby is on the list as well. And any GEM SE blade that isn't the PTFE kind lol I can get 7 good shaves from one GEM PTFE Smile

This one will be good for a laugh. A decade ago when I started to be interested in wet shaving I bought a cheap shavette to start. It came with a truly abysmal blade that I now recognise as a SE industrial grade razor blade. Killed off my interest for a long time after that.

In the way of proper blades, I'd say the 7am Platinum Stainless blades. Something about them just doesn't work for me, although I'll be the first to admit that I don't have as extensive experience as some others here.

Not to appear to defend Dorco, but that's exactly what that blade is. Near as anyone can figure someone decided to market them as shave worthy blades. Yes, they fall far short.

Merkur should stop making blades.

Derby for me. I've given them many chances but no luck. I'm done trying blades now, to many bad shaves doing so. The Kai for me is the perfect blade.
