Just don’t have a bad day!  Hahaha.  But in fact once in awhile I find I got too “hot” on an area and want to tone things down.  I either only shave that area once OR I’ll choose a milder razor like Razorock Mamba or vintage Gillette Tech.

For me its Tatara Muramasa with a GSB or Nacet.  Great follow-up after a rough shave.

Probably Gillette Slim Twist. Extremely smooth and gives me a decent result without having the chase a BBS result.

All razors are capable of flawless shaves, therefor I would try a different blade, just don't use a BIC Chrome Platinum or you will have another uncomfortable shave.  Big Grin
Boar brushes, brass razors, and hard pucks ARE traditional wet shaving. Everything else is modern day fluff for the girly men.

With my current very smooth-shaving razors, I don't need recovery, but back in my earlier shaving and experimentation days I found that the Feather AS-D2 was pretty idiot-proof.

It rarely happens. But, looking at my collection, I‘d probably grab the Era 5-SB with a mildish blade. The Yates M or Supply Pro would also get the job done.
